Good and Bad

I chose this concert mainly to see Mya and Carl Thomas because I had not seen them live before. Mya- she had an excellent performance! She looked beautiful, she sounded amazing, she danced and really put on a show. She is an excellent entertainer. Carl Thomas- his voice was great but his set was boring. No dancers, no band, no dj. He played his videos in back which we can watch at home on youtube if we want. Ginuwine- I missed half of his set getting a drink but what I saw was great. His voice is still great. He worked the crowd and had everyone on their feet. He had background singers and mascots and even danced a little if humping the floor is dancing! 112- I didnt expect much since the group split. I thought the two guys in the photo would sing. They just danced. When 112 and JE came out together I thought that JE would sing Q and Daron's part of the songs. They did not. Mike and Slim did good but I saw all of 112 a few yrs ago and there was no comparison. I know they need to work but if they can't find singers to replace Q and Daron then they are not worth seeing. JE- I saw JE a few yrs ago with 112 and the same problem they had then is the same problem they had Saturday night. Their audio was terrible! I don't know who does their sound check but they need to be fired. It was like the sound of all 4 of their voices was competing with each band instrument. Everything was just way too loud muffled. Can't blame the equipment in the venue because everyone sounded great. This was also the issue when I saw them in another state. Several people actually walked out because the noise was so bad. My ears were ringing very badly afterwards and I had the worst headache. I couldnt do anything but go home and go to bed. The sad part is that JE is very talented but you would never be able to tell hearing them live. I doubt I would pay to see 112 or JE again and they are my favorite r&b groups from the 90s.
